It's an annual tradition that puts my name in between Pete Sampson and Tim O'Malley: Inside the Irish's countdown of the top 25 players on the Irish Roster. With Notre Dame's summer classes commencing last Monday, 18 freshman have now officially joined the Irish football team. All have already picked their numbers, with some announcing them through social media. The Irish Illustrated staff collectively ranked the top Irish "rookies" based on who they felt would have the best Notre Dame careers.
