It’s the dreaded bye weekend for Notre Dame football. Well, maybe only the students and fans find a weekend without Notre Dame football playing a travesty, while the players may love and need the rest – especially after the impressive first half of the season we have had.
What are Irish fans supposed to do on Saturday if our favorite boys will not be taking the field?
1. Re-watch the USC game
Missed the blocked punt? Missed Torii Hunter Jr turn into a QB? No better time than a bye week to catch up on any plays you may have missed.
2. Catch up on all the episodes of Showtime: A Season with Notre Dame Football
Still waiting for the day I am on it.
3. Search the internet for cheap flights to watch the Irish take on Boston College at Fenway Park
Feel free to comment back if you happen upon some cheap ones because college is quite expensive but I must cheer on my Irish.
4. Pout and mope
But only when you see that Notre Dame is not on your television guide for Saturday.
5. Watch CollegeGameDay
And remember that the first ever road show of CollegeGameDay was in South Bend, IN for the ND vs FSU game in 1993.
6. Plan your outfit/tailgate for the last home game vs Wake Forest on Nov. 14
Aka find a jacket that you can fit the most shirts under and shoes you can wear at least three socks in. Because South Bend was actually supposed to be named the North Pole, but someone got their directions mixed up.
7. Last, but not least, cheer against all teams above the Irish in the AP Poll.
