I love the Dallas Cowboys. I grew up watching during the end of the Tom Landry era and though Herschel Walker was the bomb, Ed “Too Tall” Jones was the bee’s knees and later loved when the trio of Aikman, Smith and Irvin won championships. I still refuse to cheer for Jimmy Johnson because of his time at Miami, but he’s okay with the Boys.

I was ecstatic to be at the Cowboys-49ers game this weekend with my fellow ND alum Bobby. We were loud and boisterous. It was a different level of excitement when we saw Zach Martin manhandle the San Francisco line. His stat line only says he got the start in the game but let me tell you, the guy is a beast, plain and simple. I’m glad I got to see him play and I can’t wait to see Jaylon Smith wear the star next season.

Now that I’m done with my Cowboys love fest, here’s how the rest of the former Irish did this weekend:

Last game: Did not record any stats in the Browns’ 31-20 loss to Washington.
