The off-season is proving to be nothing less than entertaining. Former Notre Dame (verbal) commit, quarterback Blake Barnett, has decommitted and is heading out west to Oregon. All of the interwebs are buzzing with the news. The recruiting season is a long one, and between now and February many players will come and go. This is just another day in the journey to signing day.

I’m not overly concerned with this loss. Right now we have Everett Golson and Malik Zaire, two very capable starting quarterbacks. And Barnett is not the only quarterback out there. Can we all just relax and trust that Coach Kelly has this in his very capable hands and has everything under control? Hold on tight … the recruiting roller coaster is just starting to pick up speed! Here’s a bit of the chatter going on out there on twitter. What say you?
Oh, and did you hear that Alex Flanagan is moving on? And the hits just keep on coming.
It’s been a tremendous 7 years for which I am grateful. My comments regarding Notre Dame news. http://t.co/qZNPFepeGO — Alex Flanagan (@Alex_Flanagan) June 4, 2014

We also got the four-star DeShone Kizer coming in this fall. Not trying to sugarcoat, but not exactly a crisis at QB, either.
