At the PC at UND.com (live streaming now, then archived I’m sure), Coach Kelly dropped the big bomb of the Floyd saga:
Floyd is now going to live at Dillon Hall.
BOOM.
He’ll join the many legends that have come from Dillon over the years, while also getting to hang out with THE Father Paul Doyle.
In all seriousness, there are a million stories about Floyd’s return. Yeah, could’ve had a game suspension, maybe 2. Ultimately, I don’t know that it would’ve made much of a difference for Floyd, which is the key consideration in my mind. So, good for the team, probably the same for Floyd, probably a bit of a ding for ND in the PR department.
Yeah, Floyd has been in a bar since the incident. Someone (Hamilton?) will certainly make a big deal about this and paint it as sinister. But there’s nothing wrong with standing in a bar, even if you’re Michael Floyd after all of this. And some other details here and there. Staying positive, doing better, making good choices. Etc etc etc.
Now, can we move on and play some football? Yeah?
Yeah.

Of all the punishments they could have given Floyd, putting him in Dillon is up there. At least they didn’t go with the nuclear option and put him in Zahm. That would have qualified as cruel and unusual, and Amnesty International would have gotten involved.
I’m thinking the same line. Does Floyd being a Dillonite now mean he sucks? I’m torn.
Wasn’t it Hamilton himself who asked the question about whether Floyd had been in a bar? He and Haugh could give lessons on douchebaggery.
The fact he even asked the question is stupid…he’s 21 and can go in a bar and have a drink if he wishes…it’s what he does when he leaves that matters…they should just pull peoples media credentials when stupid questions like that are asked…what an ASSBAG!
