After so much early chaos (that’s half the fun, right?) in the early rounds, we have a remarkable Sweet Sixteen:

Three 1-seeds
All four 2-seeds
Three 4-seeds

But outside of this, we have some fun: two 12-seeds, a 13-seed, and a 14-seed.

Dark Socks Region: Pop Culture and College Football

We have a 1 vs. a 4 here, with a lovely shirtless man reading a book instead of watching Florida State get blown out. We also have supergroup Brockhampton with a key addition, and this matchup is opposed by two very Notre Damey images: the 2-seed of a redesigned Heisman Trophy, and a TWELVE SEED which is a majestic tailgate photo with space unintentionally left for our good buddy Brian who is underdressed for the weather.

Sunglasses Region: @SupermanTDJesus’ Playground

We told y’all on the Selection Podcast that @SupermanTDJesus was a force in this tournament, and here we see the results: our main man with the 4-, 2-, and 12-seeds in this region. His lone opposition: @1stDownMoses with the Will Fuller UVA celebration. The last time Moses and surrender cobras faced an opponent this difficult a recalcitrant Pharaoh was involved.

Special shoutout here to the glorious Michigan-on-Michigan crime….which again goes to show that even when the Wolverines win, they lose.

Briefcase Region: Royalty Abounds

We have a Brian O’Lantern opposite Gritty in one matchup, and George Washington Crossing the Delaware vs the British Royal Family in the other. So we’ll dub this the “Heads of State” showdown, because if you think Gritty isn’t running his own sovereign nation by this point you haven’t been paying attention.

Neck Pillow Region: Playing To Our Strengths

We have a 14-seed interloper here, but all four remaining submissions touch on our universal collective interests: football, food, video games, and Brian Kelly’s strong opposition to a ground attack. That last one in Tiananmen Square is a bit of a stretch, but #BKhomeboy hasn’t held the line this well since the 2012 Stanford overtime game.
