Round 1: Upset City
We saw eleven underdogs advance to the second round, including one 16-seed – Bridget’s timely St. Patrick’s Day image carried the day, and perhaps appropriately so since a meme that began in October is still getting airplay in March.
Three of the 12-seeds advanced to the second round, so kudos to “Where’s Waldo” for playing hard-to-get and making it through. That means the dangerous 12-seeds (the preview image was your top vote recipient out of all 64 entries) — parking lot tailgating, the fall of the Berlin Wall, and a weeping Shea Patterson — pose a threat moving forward.
Lonely At The Top
Aside from the notable upset, thirteen of the top 16 seeds (1-4) advance, but I expect there to be fewer blowouts as there are some quality entries remaining.
