It’s February, that time of year that we live through Polar Vortex attacks and ice storms. Days begin to get slowly longer, though they generally remain dark and dreary, a continuous reminder that there is still at least six weeks of winter remaining, and that the football season is nothing but a distant memory. It is in this hour that we turn to happy and enjoyable times, like Valentine’s Day. And what would a day devoted to love be without poems and rhymes?
This community of ours is nothing if not inspirationally creative, so let’s put that ingenuity to use and celebrate all things love, Valentine’s Day, football, and dunking on Michigan. Use the hashtag #NDFBValentines if you wish (or drop them in the post comments below), and we’ll keep track of as many creative entries as we find.
Special thanks to @bridgetgoirish for the cover art, and to Loyal Readers like you for your rhyming couplets.
***ADVERTISTING INTERLUDE***
If (for some strange reason) your significant other does not appreciate romantic football-inspired limericks, perhaps a quick spin over to The Bouqs will get you a floral arrangement (certainly) and back in good graces (potentially).
