Well…that happened. Notre Dame may just need to avoid South Beach for a long time because Miami gave every Irish fan Alabama flashbacks. I wanted ND to come out at the start of the game in the T-formation, or, if Brandon couldn’t take the snap under center because of his left hand, the pistol, and run straight ahead between the tackles. That would have nullified Miami’s speed and would have prevented them from blowing up those slow developing run option plays while Brandon and Josh were still “meshed” There are, of course, all kinds of counters and misdirection plays you can run from a formation like that to punish Miami for selling out and over reacting to the first movement of the ball. Miami would also have been unprepared for it.
