The conduct of the shoe companies, coaches, schools, parents and players is unseemly, unethical, ridiculous and. undesireable, but how is it criminal? Meanwhile, Wall Street continues merrily bilking people out of billions of dollars.
As we discussed on the podcast, we have a feeling it has something to do with financial advisers getting involved as well. The charges are fraud, meaning it isn’t the payouts themselves that are the issue, but how everyone else is profiting off it. Even with the few details we have at this point, this reeks of a ponzi scheme.
