Welcome back loyal sons and daughters to HLS Videos with ya boi SupermanTDJesus!! Boy oh boy, I feel like somewhere there’s a backup Irish running back STILL running all over UMass. Over 450 yards rushing and 62 points scored! BE STILL MY BRIAN KELLY OFFENSE!
Frankly, the offensive performance was a downright silly display of what Notre Dame Football has become, and I mean that in a good way. It used to be that we would show up flat and stay flat, but man did the second half adjustments show! UMass somehow lasted longer than their name would suggest, as the Minutemen kept it interesting for about a quarter and a half, but that was just about it. Yeah, we were all pretty miffed with the defense and how disjointed they looked at first, but the offense MORE than made up for that.
It was a freshman fiesta, with former Hollywood actor C.J. Sanders (he was kid Ray Charles in the film Ray, among other roles) taking a punt to the house, Josh Adams blasting a 70-yarder to the house, Dexter Williams punching one in, and Brandon Wimbush torching the UMass defense with his legs for a 58-yard beast-mode run! The future suuuuuuure looks bright for Notre Dame!
Perhaps most importantly, there were NO SIGNIFICANT INJURIES!! PRAISE THE LAWD!
Next up is Clemson so we will enjoy this one as long as possible. For now, LETS GET SILLY AND ENJOY THE HIGHLIGHTS Y’ALL!
