Notre Dame and Texas A&M Agree to a Home and Home in 2024 and 2025

September 25, 2014 by Ryan Ritter

Howdy, Aggies. Welcome to the future Notre Dame schedule. Thank you for joining Texas, Georgia, and Ohio State in the “teams we’ve replaced Michigan with” club.

Notre Dame has just announced they will play Texas A&M at College Station, TX in 2024 and in South Bend, IN in 2025. pic.twitter.com/CuI2hV1dnx

Some of you might be aware, but if you are not, full disclosure: I am a Texas A&M fan. If I had stayed in Texas, I would’ve spent my college years in College Station.

My best friends are a mixture of Domers and Aggies. The best man at my wedding: Aggie. He and another Aggie groomsman conspired to have me dunk my ND and wedding ring during the best man speech. I’ve been to two bachelor parties that have involved copious amounts of alcohol at Northgate. I know the words to the Aggie War Hymn.

I CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS SERIES.

Sure, by the time it actually happens, I’ll be trying to figure out what to do with my future kids on those weekends, but I don’t care. These are two of the most tradition-laden schools in all of college football and putting both of these fan bases in the same stadium is going to be nothing short of magic.

And I can’t wait to claim bragging rights on my Aggie friends forever with two Irish wins.

Get here soon, 2024!

Only if you want to have it on Thursday because I’m sure as hell going to be driving down to College Station on Friday.

In full disclosure, I, too am an Aggie fan. I actually am more Aggie than most everyone else on this board as my college degree is FROM Texas A&M. I claim myself to be “Aggie Lite” because I attended one of the many schools in the “A&M System.” Actually the FIRST of the schools in “The A&M System,” Tarleton State. So like Tex, I am JACKED UP for this series and will definitely be in College Station for this one. At that time, my oldest will be 17 and likely looking for a school to join as well.
