Here are your @andrewwinn stats for this week’s #HLSrecap — 266 tweets from 146 contributors, with 103 first-timers making the cut this week. We now have over 230 unique contributors to at least one #HLSrecap this year.
As you know, each week we present the following highly-coveted (and yet totally arbitrary) accolades:
- Brick Helmet Stickers
- #HLSrecap Top 25
- #HLSrecap MVP
Here now is our Athletic Director, @FakeSwarbrick, who just dispatched a cleaning crew to the Stadium visitors’ locker room to eradicate that lingering stench once and for all.

It was one hell of a week for Irish fans. Let’s take a look back.
First, because I felt like it, I decided to schedule a series with the Ohio State Buckeyes. Ohio State is one of the most respected programs in the nation and represents an impressive addition to our schedule. They have one of the most innovative coaches in the game with Urban Meyer and Columbus will give our fans an experience they truly will never forget.
But I don’t give a damn about any of that. I just wanted to stick it to Michigan and I thought scheduling Ohio State would be funny. I was right. And I will schedule ANY school, ANY where, at ANY time before I will EVER honor the Skunkbears with our name on their schedule again.
Second, after a move like that I needed Coach Kelly and the men to close out this series the right way — by annihilating and humiliating Michigan before a national television audience. Anything less would have been unacceptable.
The team did not disappoint…and neither did you. Kudos to all of you for lighting up my timeline with pure awesomeness, but here are four that set the gold standard. Congratulations, gentlemen.
- @justknox — a steady stream of hate and outstanding in-game commentary.
- @SupermanTDJesus — I’m convinced that this guy could live tweet his own bowel movements and it would be Twitter gold.
- @dapremonster — he used the word “resplendent.” Respect.
- @taxbastard — his NSFW tweets are hilarious and not for everyone, but he gets a sticker for the late “back door” comment. I shot Maker’s Mark out of my nose. Do you know how much that hurts?
Now, onto the quantitative measures. This is just as it sounds — each week, whoever has the most number of tweets that make the final cut will be awarded the #HLSrecap MVP Award and the recipient of a jug and a couple drinking glasses from Indiana Whiskey.
Your MVP winner for the Michigan game: @SupermanTDJesus with 9 tweets.

As a reminder, @andrewwinn awards one point for each tweet that makes it in; 1/2 point if someone else retweets/quotes/modifies your tweet and it’s included. The Twitter Ranking Of Leprechaun Legion (T.R.O.L.L.) Scale is awarded arbitrarily.
Special congratulations to the official Michigan Football Twitter account, @umichfootball, for making it into #HLSrecap, and I’m going to award them +3 T.R.O.L.L. Points so they’ll show up in a top-25 poll sometime during the 2014 season. Because let’s be honest, 3 points is something your kicker didn’t give you on Saturday, but we here at HLS are nothing if not polite.
Welcome 13 newcomers into the Top 25, and to @SuperManTDJesus for collecting the trifecta: Brick Helmet Sticker, #wHLSkey, and top billing in the #HLSrecap Top 25 in the same week. We’ll call him the #HLSreCaptain (unless it goes to his head, in which case we’ll ignore him).
