Golson Wraps Up #QBSharkWeek Camp

June 2, 2014 by Steve in Iowa

Greetings, ND Faithful, and happy Monday!

Last year during his time away from Our Lady’s univesity, ND Quarterback Everett Golson spent ten weeks with highly regarded quarterbacks coach George Whitfield of Whitfeld Athletix, San Diego. Whitfield has worked with a number of high profile talents including Cam Newton, Andrew Luck, and Johnny Manziel. Golson came back from that experience bigger, stronger, and with a better grip on the football..

Last week, Golson reunited with Whitfield  as he attended Whitfield’s #QBSharkWeek camp. About a dozen elite talents from across the Division 1 landscape were at SharkWeek including QB’s Baylor’s Bryce Petty, Michigan State’s Connor Cook, and LSU’s Brandon Harris. It certainly was a great opportunity to shake off some of the rust from a somewhat underwhelming Blue-Gold Game performance for Golson and measure himself against some of the best QB talent in the country.

Media coverage of the camp is understandably sparse given the proprietary nature of camps like those offered by Whitfield Athletix. Perhaps the best insights any fans can glean are from tweets by coaches and attendees. If the #QBSharkWeek tweets are any indication, it was a lot of reading defenses, sprint outs, and #grinding as well as appearances by guests like Marshall Faulk, Mike Haynes, and Dana Bible. Whitfield’s formula has a proven track record and we’ll all get a chance to see how it pays off for #5 this fall. With success on the recruiting trail, the reinstatement of WR Davaris Daniels, FIELD TURF(!!!) and Golson’s offseason workouts there is a lot to be excited about in 2014.

If the Cheap Nike Free Run can truly play their best with the flip of a figurative switch, now would be the time to make sure it’s engaged.
That’s been a prevailing theory all season long when Cheap Nike Air Max comes to the two-time defending NBA champions. The Heat may not have put together as strong of a record or statistical profile as NBA Finals opponent San Antonio, or even Eastern Conference foe Indiana, they’re lethal when Nike Air Max 1 decide to play their best.
Miami showed no sign of playing above a championship level in Air Max 2014 3 of the NBA Finals on Tuesday, getting beaten 111-92 as 4-point favorites in their first home game of the series. Coach Erik Spoelstra’s halftime grievance of the Heat not playing with enough intensity in giving up 71 points was another way of saying Nike Blazers For Sale never turned on.
