Trying something new here — let me know in the comments if/how you like it. Each week, we’ll look at Notre Dame’s strength of schedule (SOS) in context with their opponents’. I’m curating data from Jeff Sagarin, one of the BCS inputs for strength-of-schedule calculation.
As you may notice, starting this week Notre Dame heads into a very tough portion of their schedule, facing squads who have been tested early.

Who To Watch
Southern Cal at Arizona State (Sat 10:30pm ESPN2)
Arizona State is coming off of a tough week at Stanford, where they look horrible early and a furious comeback bid fell short. SC has recovered from a disastrous loss to the Fighting Mike Leaches, but USC head coach Lane Kiffin (please, Sweet Baby #REESUS, let that last phrase be true for years to come) still has question marks at the QB spot despite the dominating Marqise Lee at WR. Get a preview of our next 2 opponents by watching the late game as you bask/wallow in triumph/misery of ND’s performance against Oklahoma.

Well *that* was an unfortunate mistake. Corrected now, and thanks for the heads-up.
