Editor’s Note: Thomasooooooooo is my 9 year old nephew. He is one great kid and he enjoyed the kids’ camp at ND this year, and we thought a blog post would be a great thing. Enjoy!
This is cool, folks.
This camp offers grades 2-6 advanced footballs skills. They teach you how to strip the ball, tackle and many other defensive skills. They also teach you catching, throwing and other offensive drills. My team Captain was Manti Te’o. My favorite drill was cutbacks with Theo Riddick.
Every day they have guest speakers. In 2012, one talked about respect and another talked about listening with your eyes and your ears. He also talked about how not all kids can come to camp so you shouldn’t take the opportunity for granted.
One of the days you walk up to the stadium for a locker room tour. You also get a picture taken with Coach Kelly. You even get the players’ and coaches’ signatures. I really think other kids should try to go too.
Great work, Thomassssooooooo, very proud of you! – Uncle Biscuit

Te’o as a team captain? That’s awesome. Supremely jealous and wish I could have done something like this as a kid.

Welcome to Thomas! Thanks for sharing your experience – thousands of kids out there would love to be in your shoes!

Thomas – great article, I’m very jealous you got to do this. Who was better at the cutbacks, you or Theo?

Thomasooooooooo! I hope I spelled your name right — I may have miscounted the o’s. Great post! I love the photo of you and that other guy. Who was faster, you or Tommy Rees? That’s a dumb question. You were! Thanks for posting!
