I’m really excited to announce our new upgrade of our Sideline Forums! More than a year ago we integrated a 3rd-party forum service into HLS because we wanted to help foster the great community interaction we’ve been enjoying at HLS over the last 5+ years. But that integration was always half-hearted, more than a little confusing, and practically entirely out of our control. But no more. Today we’ve got a fully integrated forum within the HLS website, allowing you to login once (notice the new login form over on the right?), and participate in both commenting on our posts on the blog and engaging fellow Loyal Sons and Daughters within the Sideline Forums!

A couple big changes:

• This thing is fully integrated now. Which means if you have an account on HLS, you’ve got an account on Sideline. No more confusing double-accounts!
• Emphasis on “Forums.” We want to help grow the already awesome community that’s helped make HLS worth having in this world. And so now we’re going to have forums on various subjects. Got an idea for subject-matter? Let us know!
• This is, hopefully, just a start. This new integration will soon make it a lot easier for us to publish really great posts in the forum right up onto the front page of HLS. Many of you write great content with great thoughts and analysis. We want to promote that. We want to improve the overall discussion around Notre Dame football!

Feel free to reply here (or in our initial Welcome thread) if you’ve got questions (remember, you’ll need an account), comments, ideas, or concerns.

Thanks, and Go Irish!
