Look at how ESPN characterizes the performances of Troy Smith and Brady Quinn today. Yes, they acknowledge that Troy Smith struggled today (Biscuit Note: STRUGGLED? F-ING STRUGGLED? He threw for 100 and change against ILLI-freaking-NOIS).  But I love how BQ is throwing for great numbers against ‘lesser foes’, while Illinois is just Illinois. But not ‘lesser’. Nope. ESPN is so impartial.
No, ESPN you ABC whores, Illinois ISN’T 2 and 8 (meaning EIGHT LOSSES) with a horrible defense. No, really, just ignore that and point out that UNC is a lesser foe going against ND. Seriously, it’s understandable for a Heisman favorite to perform this way against terrible teams. I love how it’s a ‘bland’ performance when the real description should be ‘shitty’. Â
The Illini are LESSER FOES as well! And he had 107 yards passing and a pick. You’re Freaking KILLING me here!
At least they gave him a damn down-facing red arrow.Â
But he’ll still get all #1 votes, the bastards.

Brady Quinn | QB | Notre Dame
Brady Quinn continues to pile up stats against lesser foes, taking care of business against UNC.
Last performance: Quinn completed 23 of 35 passes for 346 yards and four TDs, without throwing an interception, in a 45-26 win over North Carolina.2006 Season Stats:

P-freakin-S: Was Troy Smith padding stats against ‘lesser opponents’ when he was racking up yards and TD’s against teams like Northern Illionois, Cincy, Bowling Green, Indiana and Minnesota? Ummmm, no. Not at all. ‘course not. Â

You mean padding the stats against lesser foe Bowling Green? The same BG that gave Temple their only win or who lost to Akron today. Can’t be, that was a big time game in the shoe! I think Smith is starting to cave to the pressure. Ever since he has been the clear Heisman frontrunner by ESPN he has put up worse numbers than before. A #1 #2 game in his backyard could surely cap his heisman race, but I think he will cave to the pressure of the demanding CBUS crowd and fans.

The media has already annointed Troy Smith as the Heisman winner. The REAL measure of the individual will come when we compare where Smitty and Quinn each get drafted. Will Smitty be a #1 pick? First Round? First DAY?
