The Her Loyal Sons College Football Pick ‘Em is back for 2019!
The game will operate a little differently this season. This year’s game will be run through Yahoo! Fantasy Sports. I decided to bite the bullet and sacrifice flexibility for not having to manually create forms and update spreadsheets every week (plus easier mobile access and notifications).
Full details of how to sign up, rules, and prizes are below.
How to Join
- Head over to Yahoo! Fantasy Sports
- Enter the following Group ID: 3462
- Enter the following password: hailgamblor
- You will be prompted to login to your Yahoo! account. If you don’t have one, it’s free to set up (don’t worry, email alerts can be sent to any email account).
- Bookmark the HLS Group page for future reference or download the Yahoo! Fantasy Sports app via the Apple App Store or Google Play for easy mobile access.
Rules
- All games are picked against the spread. If that sounds like Greek, have no fear. This is just degenerate talk for one team needing to win by a certain amount of points and we have a full primer available to give you the knowledge to dive in.
- There are no confidence points. Every game is worth one point.
- The lowest two scores/weeks are dropped from every team. If you miss a couple weeks or have a string of bad beats, you still have a fighting chance!
- There are weekly tiebreakers.
- Each game locks five minutes before kickoff.
- Games will be a mix of Yahoo’s most interesting games, plus all FBS independents to guarantee Notre Dame is included every week.
- NOTE: There will be more picks in the pick ’em than what is discussed on the weekly picks podcast.
