I must say, this whole “blowout the other team by three plus possessions” thing is rather fun. I’d like to keep doing this because podcasting with Shane afterwards sure is a lot of fun.
There’s loads to unpack this week from Notre Dame. Even in a laugher of a game, this game had everything. We’ve got Irish aggression that we haven’t seen in ages, questions about the secondary, worries about the passing game, praising the rushing game, wondering just what the hell it takes to have targeting called when a gold helmet is the one getting hit, and just what to think of the Irish at this point in the season.
Plus, the world of college football had some insanity as well. The bad Troy found themselves knocked off their top-five perch. The good Troy embarrassed their opponent at their own homecoming (and was paid to do so!). Georgia looks like a murder machine. Clemson might just be the best team in the nation. Oh, and the Big 12 had one hell of a fun shootout out in Lubbock.
