Happy opening day of college football, everyone! No, we aren’t counting that weird “week 0” madness that was last week. Tonight, we will kick off the true college football slate, complete with a weekend of College GameDay and a full slate of games extending into Monday.
Of course, Notre Dame also kicks off this weekend, meaning it’s time for Shane and I to settle into our season grove. With that, we’ve changed the schedule slightly: preview episodes will release on Thursday instead of Friday (yes, RIP Friday Roundup) and our recap episodes will move to Monday instead of Tuesday. So be sure to subscribe on your favorite podcasting medium and join us for the season and beyond.
Eddie joins again this week and, this season, you can compete against us by heading over here. As I said on the show, even if you don’t fully understand the spread, their interface will explain to you you the result you are picking (Example: hovering over the ND checkbox this week says “Pick Notre Dame to win by more than 17.5 points”). For those used to spreads, these lines do not appear to fluctuate and every line will have a half-point hook so there will be no pushes. Deadline to pick games will be at the kickoff of each game.
So come face off against Eddie and I all season long. I’m likely going to have a prize, but it took me long enough to figure out a site to use (serious hat tip to The Solid Verbal for bailing me out on this one). Announcement will be coming soon(ish).
