Welcome back loyal sons and daughter to what is now because the far too occasional installments of HLS Videos with ya boi Shane, AKA SupermanTDJesus! What is there to say really this week? Notre Dame beat that Army ass, and the day after Veterans Day no less! As an Army veteran myself, I stand firm in stating that I am completely OK with this result, because boy did the Irish need that win!
Notre Dame got an early kickstart in this game in the form of a CJ Sanders kickoff return for a touchdown to open the game, and they never really looked back. After jumping out to a dominating 21-0 lead in the 1 quarter, and somehow NOT giving up such a lead by the end of the 3rd quarter, Notre Dame walked away with this one handily to the tune of a 44-6 final score.
You may be asking yourselves, “Where are these performances every week? Why can’t Brian Kelly do this to every team? Ken Niumatololo is probably better than BK somehow, and he ran the option too! ARMY! NOTRE DAME! WINNING PLEASE!!” To this I say, “Relaaaaaaaax.” It is just Army after all, and they AINT DONE PLAYED NOBODY PAAAWWWWWWWL! Seriously, every team they faced before Notre Dame was ranked 90th or lower in the country in offense, soooooo yeah, they got smashed.
Can Notre Dame ride the momentum from this win into a competitive matchup against the Hokies of Virginia Tech next week? Can they possibly find a way to squeeze out a win against a surging USC team the following week? WHO KNOWS! For now, enjoy the highlights of this win while they’re still fresh in your minds.
