Who is @BlakeHHarris you ask? He is an incredibly accomplished highlight video BEAST, whose YouTube channel has over 50K subscribers and 28 MILLION+ views and counting. No biggie. This week, we reached out to Blake and asked if he would be willing to have one of his highlight videos featured as part of our 2016 NFL Draft preview series, and he was more than willing to lend us his services. But enough of me fan-girling about his work, for today the Day belongs to Sheldon!
Feature numero dos for this week’s focus of Irish stars likely to be taken in the upcoming NFL Draft on Thursday continues with the de facto mentor and unparalleled leader of the 2015 Notre Dame defense, defensive lineman Sheldon Day. Day has been a dominating force along the Irish D-line since his true freshman season back in 2012. Why not let his stats do the talking, shall we?

As I mentioned in my previous post, I am certainly no College Football expert, but it is not at all hard to see why Day steadily rose to become the most dominant forces along the defensive line as a senior in 2015. The steady improvement he showed year after year is a testament to his work ethic and overall total badassery. Day’s athletic prowess is matched only by his ability to translate that skill into overall team success, as his senior year was largely dedicated to molding the heir to his D-Line throne, Terry Jill–err, I mean Jerry Tillery. While it remains to be seen whether his imparting of wisdom upon Tillery will truly take hold, Day’s impact is one that will sorely be missed in 2016.
@BlakeHHarris put together an AMAZING compilation of some of Day’s most memorable and epic moments as part of the Notre Dame defense, and I would be doing his video a disservice by pretending to do it justice with mere words and tomfoolery.
