Welcome to the Admiral Ackbar edition of Brick Helmet Stickers!

If you were a fan of almost any other powerhouse college football program, you’d look at a school like North Carolina and briefly entertain the idea of a trap game. But then you’d immediately dismiss the idea because while trap games DO exist, they almost always happen to “the other guy.”

Notre Dame is “the other guy.” That’s why smart fans had stocked up on booze and prescription narcotics well before kickoff, and the more seasoned fans had a defibrillator charged just in case. It took days to get the word “CLEAR!” out of my mind……

So what did we learn from this game? Folston is a beast, Fuller should have his hands bronzed, and “Everett nooooo!” is replacing “Tommy nooooo!” in the Notre Dame lexicon.

I’m getting tired of saying “an ugly win is still a win” but undefeated is better than not. And I’m comforted that no matter how sick you were feeling during that game, always remember — we still shutout Michigan. Thanks be to God.

Now onward to Florida State and to our Brick Helmet Sticker recipients. It was a thin week….clearly most of you were drunk, medicated or teetering near death (like me).

@CBusIrish — isn’t this two in a row for him? Can’t wait to see what Boba Fett has in store for us this Saturday.
@Danny_Concannon — this is the first time I’ve awarded a sticker to a fictional character. Danny was an ok guy in “The West Wing” but a real dick in “Field of Dreams.” This is the same guy, right?

@WatchND, I’m not sure how I can give whiskey to an anthropomorphic Twitter account of a YouTube channel that posts highlight videos…that’s gotta be a NCAA violation of some sort. Plus, I don’t have a history of giving out alcohol to fictional characters associated with Notre Dame… FatherSorin> well this is going to be awkward. Little help, Padre? Keep up the good highlight videos, though @WatchND…you’re doing great!

@Subway_Sprout, since Nina’s out ~~vote Sprout~~…err, have you two ever tried combining forces…assets…twitter accounts? That just seems sensible at this point. Why are you dragging me into this when it is clearly a marital conflict between you two?!
