Last week, the Notre Dame Club of Dallas wanted me to represent the club on “Inside the Game” hosted by Robin Valetutto, the DFW Sports Angel, as a special guest host. A few different club members have been able to do so and I was over the moon that they wanted me to do so as well. Plus, I was also able to represent HLS on an actual radio broadcast which was quite fun.
Well, I must have done a decent enough job because Robin has invited me back; however, this time I will be hosting, yes, hosting the show. Robin had to switch time slots with another show due to a charity golf tournament another host at the station is running. Robin will be calling in live from that tournament during the first segment, but she will also be attending the TCU/OU game out in Ft. Worth, meaning she hit here maximum limit of being in so many places at once.
So I will be filling in for her from 1:00pm-1:30pm CT this Staurday on KVCE 1160 AM, the home of Notre Dame Football in Dallas/Ft. Worth, which will lead in to the official Notre Dame pregame show. If you aren’t in the DFW area, head over to their website (which is now fixed!) for a live stream link.
The show is shortened quite a bit in this slot, so I will only have two segments. The first, as I mentioned will involve Robin calling in and we will also talk a bit of Dallas Cowboys football because that’s a requirement for any sports talk show in this area.
The second and final segment will be all Notre Dame and college football. As I learned last week, time moves incredibly fast when doing the broadcast so I will not be able to take calls and get anyone on the air much like last week. Speaking of, I must say finding out after we went off the air that someone actually called in was pretty cool as I honestly didn’t think anyone would. Anyways, in lieu of calls, if you have a particular topic that you want me to cover, fire away in the comments and I will do my best to work it in on the segment.
Much like last time, once I get audio from the show, we will post it to our Podbean site. Speaking of the podcasts, the talented Philly Kelly has done some more graphical work so we can get this thing up on iTunes and I must say, it looks awesome:
