It wasn’t pretty, it was tough to watch at times, and it was downright frustrating. Notre Dame waltzed into Lucas Oil Stadium expecting to flatten a struggling Purdue team fresh off an embarrassing loss to Central Michigan, riding the high of having shut out Michigan for the first time ever just a week before. Instead, the Irish literally limped out of Indianapolis without just about every Safety on the team, a banged up Amir Carlisle, and a hard-fought W.
Bye weeks are awesome when they come at the right time, and man is this the right time.
Here’s a little throwback to let you enjoy reliving the game recording that will likely be first off your DVR this season.
Go Irish!
