We See How It Is: The REAL Story Behind DMQ’s Departure

April 1, 2012 by The Biscuit

So, my former partner, the ‘original voice’ of HLS, and a guy that I have, for a long time, considered a good friend, recently ‘retired’ from HLS. He needed to spend time on other pursuits, he didn’t feel like the conversation was moving anywhere, he needed a break. Cool! No worries! We all support you!

Except, that’s not the case at all. The case? This:

DMQ HAS ABSOLUTELY SOLD OUT AND GONE TO FREAKING BLEACHER REPORT!!!!!

W. T. F.

He is dead to me.

Have fun with all of your SLIDE SHOWS SELL-OUT!!!!

Don't take me, yourself, or life so seriously. This is supposed to be fun.

Biscuit co-founded HerLoyalSons in partnership with his ND roommate (Dillon Hall baby!), MQ, in 2006 and has been ranting about ND Football and everything Notre Dame since. He strongly believes in the mission of ND and its football program. Biscuit expects logic and data in arguments and will absolutely crush you if you come to a debate missing one or the other. He despises everything Michigan, and his favorite pastime is mocking Purdue.

    Geez,
Could’ve just said hey, I’m blogging over here now. Have a little class about it. “He needed to spend time on other pursuits, he didn’t feel like the conversation was moving anywhere, he needed a break.” Nobody likes a liar.

Nice photoshoping for April fools day. Forgot the date they always have next to the authors name though (and they only use real names).

That is a great April Fool’s day gag, best I’ve seen this year. In related news, this has been a very disappointing April Fool’s day.

Hard to top the “moving the USC game back to daytime” joke from last year. I was about ready to strangle somebody until I realized what day it was.

    Not bad Biscuit…

Over at the ISD Members Board…someone posted on Sunday Morning…”Aaron Lynch to Transfer to FSU”.

What ensued was simply unbelievable. The number of folks that panicked when they read the subject line was just mind boggling. What followed was a long-list of posts that all had the same theme…”kill the man who posted this message…April Fools or not”.

Clearly the best to date for me.

All the better joke given the reference to the Bleacher Report.

It took me a while last year to realize that maybe one of ten of the contributors at Bleacher Report actually know what they are talking about. You know, they have a web site and everything, so they must be professional, right? The topper was a couple of weeks ago when I saw an article about how easy Notre Dame’s 2012 football schedule is going to be, followed by another article going through ND’s “must win” games that basically included every game except Navy and Wake Forest. It appears that anyone, whether or not they can write, make sensible comments or know anything about college football, can be a contributor to the Bleacher Report.

On second thought, maybe that is a good spot for old DMQ ….
