ND Alumni Tickets Results Released: WHY HAST THOU FORSAKEN ME?

July 6, 2011 by The Biscuit

Results are out! Get yours here.

And if you don’t have your ticket app number handy, try this handy trick (via NDN):

-Go to Alumni.ND.edu, then “Supporting Notre Dame” in the bottom left, then “Giving History”. In the upper left you’ll see your ID number. Remove the first two zero’s, and that’s your ticket app number.

Per usual, I applied for every ticket possible for every home game, as well as Pitt since I have family in the Burgh. And…I scored like mad everywhere…EXCEPT FOR USC!

4 South Florida 09/03/2011 Alumni Win
2 Michigan State 09/17/2011 Alumni Win
2 @ Pittsburgh 09/24/2011 Alumni Win
4 Air Force 10/08/2011 Alumni Win
2 USC 10/22/2011 Alumni Loss
2 Navy 10/29/2011 Alumni Win
4 Boston College 11/19/2011 Alumni Win

Dear ND Lottery People: Please note that I AM NOT DMQ! My presence/viewing does not guarantee an Irish Loss!!!!

For the last 6-7 years I have given, I have applied for every game, and I consistently get dissed on the big home game each year. Whether it’s USC or UM or whomever, there’s no chance I’m getting that game. I might as well not even waste my time applying for Miami/Oklahoma/etc in the coming years. NO CHANCE FOR THE BISCUIT! NOPE, SORRY, NONE!

Yeah, yeah you’re thinking: quit whining Biscuit, you got ALL the other games. But note: I personally only get to go to one game a year. I would LIKE that game to be a big game. The rest of these tix go to friends/family/HerLoyalReaders and that’s great and all but for once I would like some Lotto Love, the big prize.

As it is, I’ll be going to USF for some good weather tailgating. So, see you there. And to those of you that won USC? You suck.

How’d you all do?

Clearly God (or ND admin) hates you.

Don’t take it so bad. A few years ago I applied to all home games, and only won Duke.

    Biscuit,
you want the big game…buy a ticket!

Biscuit, Biscuit, Biscuit. You’re going about this all wrong. Don’t apply for EVERY game and hope you get the ONE you want. ONLY apply for the one you want. USC was a huge request this year I’m sure, so look at it from the perspective of the powers-that-be. They can give you USC and all those other games you want, and completely shut out some loyal donor who only requested USC… or they can make TWO donors happy. If you request multiple games, you’re telling them that you would be happy getting any or all of those games. They see it as win-win, so don’t give them that option in the future if you’re going to be such a sore loser. 😀

See, I think they should REWARD me for applying for every game. I’m supporting the team regardless, giving them a guaranteed seat regardless. I’m not just nit-picking here or there, I’m ALL IN. So, I should get LOVE, not DISSED!

And you were a walk on. That deserves unlimited field passes like any other player……

Since I hadn’t seen your nifty trick about finding your customer number yet, I called into the ticket office this morning. I was lucky enough to snag the 3 I applied for (USC, MSU and BC). I asked what percentage of people that applied for USC won, and the woman I was speaking to said it was approximately 25%.

Has anyone else sat on the field behind the south endzone before? Thats where my seats are for one of the games which should be a pretty fun experience.

      July 6, 2011 at 6:04 pm

Been there. Row 1. Awesome seats. You’ll almost feel like you’re going to be arrested for being on the field. Oh yeah, and if Irish Chocolate runs out of the back of the endzone you are dead.

Irish Chocolate… LNIII is a funny dude. I laugh everytime I think about that nickname he came up with.

I was behind the south endzone for the 2006 UCLA game…best seats in the house.

Was in those seats years ago against Rutgers, and saw their punter wiff on a punt – pretty funny. Traded seats with good views for the field seats, thinking my daughter would think walking on the grass on the way to the seats was cool. Only downside is that you have absolutely no idea whatsover what is going on during the 3/4 of the game that is not at south end of stadium.

Or you could fantasize that you got SCum tickets.

Biscuit, my brother, Vicpaul to HLS readers and I are hoping to be at the 2012 Stanford game. We are going to be at the Miami game in Chicago the week before. It will be the first time we will watch the Irish at home….our first home pilgrimage. If you win the Stanford tickets and are bummed about it, we would love to take them off your hands.

    July 6, 2011 at 10:49 pm

Biscuit, I second what tjak said. God I can’t wait to go. 2012 seems like forever away. I’ve seen our Irish play 5 times, yet never at home, and I’m a perfect 5-0, so you won’t have to worry about us losing that game, it’s in the bag. Thanks in advance.

VicPaul, I guess we don’t at least rate a “no way” from “the biscuit”. Oh well we tried.

Yeah, same here. Guess I should have paid my wife’s Monogram Club dues.

    2 Michigan State Alumni Win
    4 Air Force Alumni Win
    2 USC Alumni Loss

So I’m the idiot who donated and then didn’t mail my ticket application in time. There is no excuse. It looks like everyone who wanted got MSU, which is the game I am trying to go to. I would pay anyone handsomely for those tickets and, for you Biscuit, I would continue to read HLS every day. (okay, I admit I will continue to do the second thing regardless).

Would’ve happily hooked you up but another reader (and ex-roommate) emailed me the other day to claim them. Sorry man, hope you stick with us anyway!

No worries. I am sure I will find tickets.

First game I went to was AF a few yeard back. To me that was the best because of being in the AF….my wife rocks for getting the tickets.

This year there are a few other AF brethren that are looking to make the pilgrimage for this years AF game. If any HLS readers are going, let me know and maybe we can drink a frosty one together!

By the way, the ND ticket office is releasing more tickets on July 13th to those who qualified for the lottery. Lots of dates available, including single tickets to USC.

Just have to say, the return ticket sale for alum was an excellent pickup today. Got 4 tix to Michigan State, although they may or may not be in the visiting section. I also got a single ticket to USC that way. Couldn’t manage two single tickets though.

Biz…rumor has it PootND got 2 tickets to the USC game…I hope that doesn’t cause any issues with him and you now…don’t need any HLS tension…

Oh and Biz…if you want USC tickets just tweet LNIII…I’m sure he can score you a couple…hell, he could probably get you on the field if he wanted…

    • The Biscuit

      July 16, 2011 at 12:52 am

There’s always tension where Poot is concerned. #DammitPoot!

Not sure how the intern is getting sweet tix while MGT is dissed. Seems backward.
