A Notre Dame Football Blog

FAIL

Founder, Head of Ranting
Don't take me, yourself, or life so seriously. This is supposed to be fun.
Biscuit co-founded HerLoyalSons in partnership with his ND roommate (Dillon Hall baby!), MQ, in 2006 and has been ranting about ND Football and everything Notre Dame since. He strongly believes in the mission of ND and its football program. Biscuit expects logic and data in arguments and will absolutely crush you if you come to a debate missing one or the other. He despises everything Michigan, and his favorite pastime is mocking Purdue.
No thanks. Have a good life Chris.
Agree…my guess is “too many distractions” is code word for academic commitment.
Not sure what you’d hold against him. He committed to Weis, we fired him. It was ND or Bay Area at that point, and he decided to stay home. I don’t blame a guy for switching when there’s a coaching change. If he re-thought it, I’d welcome him in a second. Why wouldn’t you? (And the ‘academics guess’ is wildly speculative. No evidence of that whatsoever).
I’d have my reservations at this point. Not that I think he’s a bad kid, but there’s got to be some sort of baggage going on if he move to Colorado originally to get away from the Bay Area and now he’s transferring out of Cal to get away again.
Plus, as one of our Twitter followers, @andy_grey has pointed out, the new staff never even recruited the kid.
Yeah, I don’t think BK has any interest in high maintenance guys. But someone as good as Martin might be worth it. But he is already on his way someplace else, not enough time for ND even if BK was interested.
To me, too many distractions sounds like all my high school buddies still want to hang out and goof around and i have weight lifting, classes, meetings, team meals, practice and school work. That is why I think it would be good for him to be at ND, where he will be surrounded only by people, whether athletes or not, who will be hitting the books.
And I don’t fault the kid for getting cold feet because he thought he might get homesick so far from home. Especially when the guys who he had built relationships with would no longer be there to help him through it.
First of all, Im not nearly into recruiting like you guys are. Ireall only care about the 2-deep and product on the field. I donno what this kid did, but if he comes to ND, I only care if he makes tackles an helps us win a MNC.
From the stories I read on this situation, though, nothing says where he’s going, right? I would imagine Nd would be a less-likely location because of the ‘no 5th years’ thing. If he really has the academic issues you guys make it soun like, he’d prob only get to play for BK for 3 years because ND grad school would prob be too much for him.
How many people are Pro- Chris Martin returning and Anti- Seantrel Henderson returning? What’s really the big difference?
I guess I would be more interested in the guy who is Pro- Seantrel and Anti- Martin
FYI, I’ve read that he’s likely to go to Florida…yup…UM did it again…this time just once removed…don’t forget…this kid committed to ND on National Signing day before his senior year…then was planning on going to HS in NJ and that didn’t work out…then he landed in CO…it’s hard telling but if BK didn’t push for him before NSD, I don’t see him going after him now…
agree that it’s unlikely that BK will go after him, just saying i’d welcome him. if he goes to UF, then it’s official: they have all our DLs. all of them.
EDITED.
