I enjoyed many a Rocco’s Pizza while at ND.  It was either Rocco’s or Papa’s, and Papa’s only won me over more times because of the bread stick deal and 2 for Tuesdays.
It’s sad to see that Rocco passed away, but it’s obvious he led a pretty full life from the SBT article on him.

Bruno’s is still the best…
I always thought Bruno’s pizza was ‘meh’. Lots of other good food there, but wasn’t a big fan of the pizza.
I always preferred Bruno’s over Rocco’s, but I always liked both. Rocco’s people were always very welcoming, and unlike Bruon’s, I never got lost trying to get there.
Biscuit is from Pittsburgh, which means he doesn’t understand pizza any more than someone from Detroit.
But I certainly understand Sammiches With Slaw n Fries ‘n at.
Whatever, you probably like Giordano’s over Malnati’s.
Malnati’s is the most horribly overrated pizza in Chicago. Gino’s East >>> all.
