The guys over at NDNation are “reporting” that Notre Dame will be playing in the Sugar Bowl against LSU (see the header they have on top of page). We don’t know how they know, but they say they’ve got people who’ve got people, and they’ve never lead us wrong before, so good enough.
Prepare for a month of hearing how there’s no way (NO WAY!) that Notre Dame will even be able to hang with “perhaps the most talented team in the SEC, and thus the universe.” LSU is a very, very talented team. It could start to look really, really bad for Notre Dame on paper.
Bring It.
We’ll start more appropos trash talk as the month progresses. By Christmas, we should be in a full lather, using all sorts of taunts like calling them the LSU “Tiggers.” Get it? Eh? Or, “You can’t spell Luser without L, S, U.” We’ve got a million of ’em.
Hopefully we can track down an LSU blog and get the inside dish from them in a multilateral, synchronize back-scratching maneuver. If you happen to be reading this, and have such a blog, and happen to have the requisite smart-ass inside of yourself, then help us help you and contact us.
UPDATE – Deadspin is reporting that the LA Times is reporting that they heard from their sister’s best-friend’s boyfriend’s brother, who is apparently a BCS official, that the BCS bowl matchups will look like this:
- Rose: USC/Michigan
- Sugar: ND/LSU
- Orange: Louisville/Wake Forest
- Fiesta: Oklahoma/Boise State
Also, Llloyd Carr is apparently sick. I guess it’s pretty bad.

How about this one: “LSU stand for ‘Lose Sugar University'”
Hello? Is this mike on? Hello?

Great blog……and I’ve always said that the BCS should void all the conference tie-ins in order to make the best possible matchups. Five games, top ten teams. What could be more simple?
