University officials and police expressed their pleasure with the behavior of fans before, during and after the big game on Saturday in Columbus. According to these officials, it was ‘pretty mild’ and ‘a very quiet night’.
A quick summary of what went down in terms of facts:
- ~40 people were arrested
- Dozens of fires were set – including burning trash cans (weak), couches (required and, frankly, normal at this point) and cars (just for the fun of it!)
Wait.
1 Second.
Okay:  HOW IS THIS IN ANY WAY GOOD BEHAVIOR? THEY ARE FREAKING BURNING CARS IN THE STREETS!!!!
I love how low the expectations are. You could drop these guys off in Fallujah and they’d probably say “Eh, this is a pretty well-behaved city. What great sportsmanship here.”
It’s a good night in Columbus if this is what goes down. It. Is. Sad.

Try living here, especially if you try to call attention to the lack of self-control of tOSU fans.
