The 2 QB System works as well for Urban Meyer as it does for, well, everyone. And as a result, the SEC saves face and gets to claim that, aw shucks, it’s just so gosh darned tough in the SEC, they’ll never get a shot at that fancy-schmancy Bee Cee Ess Tital Gaym. Shoot. You seen how fast dem boys is? Shoot. Ain’t fair. No it t’aint. Just ain’t. Yep. Mmm hmmm.
Sure. Whatever. Ignore the fact that, as omahadomer pointed out on NDN, Meyer’s Florida teams have not scored more than 23 points in any big conference games. That’s gotta have a lot to do with the amazing SEC defenses we see EVERY year, right? Or would it have to do with the fact that, against good teams, not great, but good, Meyer’s gimmick offense doesn’t work at all when you’ve got the wrong QB running it, and when you run a 2 QB system you’re just shooting yourself in the foot.
I really don’t know the answer, but once again, the media has decided it’s gotta be that impossibly difficult SEC victimizing it’s own.
In the end, that merciless SEC claimed another victim as Florida became the fourth team ranked No. 2 in the AP Top 25 to lose this season.
If the media can’t get football right – something with actual measurable results – I wonder what else they consistently get wrong.
