Friday Roundup

September 22, 2006 by domer.mq

Lots of quality stuff in the blogosphere today:

  • The House Rock Built has an excellent edition of their Friday Night Lites. Pay close attention to what his guest from the Enlightened Spartan has to say about MSU’s team, and you might feel a little better about ND’s chances tomorrow.
  • Irish Round Table makes me want to go and buy a Mac.
  • Wizard of Odds picks ND to win in his GOTW.
  • Colin at Irish Eyes says that the Irish’s confidence is back.
  • Fire Mark May, the second greatest cause on the internet (Here’s the first), has their weekly picks up.
  • Dodgy At Best has a lot going on, but probably his biggest piece this week is here.
  • Rakes of Mallow shows that they’re young and have a lot to learn about what makes ND great. Naivete is wasted on the young.
  • Kelly Green explains what happened to the Megaphone Trophy to Jon ElSmith. Isn’t the megaphone trophy the one you win for just about every damn “rivalry” game on EA Sports NCAA Football?
  • And EDSBS loves them some fat guys dancing.

Finally, as a reminder:

Remember, remember the 17th of September.

A lot of people in the Notre Dame Universe are saying we should just forget about this and move on. I disagree and think these people have never really allowed themselves to take out their frustrations on someone. It’s really quite cathartic and I highly reccomend it.

Also, Charlie Weis himself has said publicly that it’s time to put this whole “flag business” behind us.  I’m thinking Charlie Weis subscribes to the theory that revenge is a dish best served cold.

Dude “The Enlightened Spartan” cracks me up on Friday Night Lites…he sure likes his 4 letter expletives. He also likes Charlie…but then again its hard not to.

    …And what if you lose?

That dish will get mighty frosty by NEXT September, but you all can comfort yourselves in the pride of knowing that you worked so hard to make it. 😉

Here’s to a game for the ages. (I’ll try to remember to return for some humble pie if it doesn’t work out, but the hangover will be a bitch either way).

I love civil posters who are fans of other teams. Good luck in the football contest, friend. May the hits be silly, the women be wild, and the beers be frosty.

Damn MSU blogger/poster that doesn’t make it easy to mock them.

We can mock “them,” we just can’t mock “him.” Now, where are those wild women?
