HLS Experts' Picks, Week 2: We Feel The Need - The Need For Speed. Yeehaw!

Again, the rules of the game are here.

Last week we saw what was expected when West Virginia helped Marshall help West Virginia. All they need now is a little quand.

We also saw what we thought we were expecting in the Miami/FSU game, as we all pretty much predicted a defensive battle and got, in its place, offensive anemia.

And finally we got something unexpected in the ND/GT game. While we probably all expected a tough game, we didn’t expect the score to look like something out of a Chicago Bears game.

This week, we’ve got 3 new games, 5 new teams:

The Game – PSU at ND: Someone, somewhere wrote “the game of an iconic coach against an iconic program.” More like a relic versus an institution. I’ve heard PSU’s RB is the slowest man in D1 and now all of a sudden Darius Walker has “top line speed” having outrun all of GT for his game winning score (laterally, of course, so maybe it’s “football speed”).
The Other Big Game – THE OSU taking on Texas: After last week’s performances, I expect Austin to be smoking by the time this one is over. Speed versus speed, so what will win out? I’m thinking Ohio Speed.
Who The Hell Cares? – Pitt at Cincy: They should just be ashamed of playing on a Friday night. That’s supposed to be reserved for real teams. You know, from various highschools around the nation. Maybe ESPN 53, or whoever is carrying this game, will make it quick and cut over to a big Chicago Catholic League game by 9.
