Do you have a sports bucket list? Could you imagine trying to cross off everything in say a single year? How about attending a sporting event every day for a year?
Your answers probably went from yes to no rather quickly, but Jamie Reidy attempted to do just this (keyword: attempted). Jamie joins the podcast to talk about his book Need One! and the various sporting events that he saw along the way–from tailgating in the grove, to hitting a local bowling league.
After the interview, I discuss a bit of what would make up my Sports Year and how Jamie’s journey reminded me of what is by far my favorite thing about sports: the people.
If you’d like to read about Jamie’s incredible and ridiculous journey, head over here and purchase Need One!
Featuring a video stinger of some of Jamie’s Sports Year exploits!
Texan by birth, Irish by choice.
Born and raised in the great state of Texas, Tex is a first-generation Domer and a former student manager. After graduation, he left the cold winters of South Bend behind and returned back to his home state with a computer engineering degree in tow. Missing the daily grind of working football practices and talking football with fellow Irish fans every day, he took to blogging, a path which eventually led him to Her Loyal Sons. Continuously diving into stats and game film, Tex strives to break down every aspect of Fighting Irish football--even though it's determined to kill him.
