Remember that Notre Dame-free episode a couple of weeks ago? Well, Shane and I certainly made up for that this week. Starting with the Echoes football banquet and ending with new coaching hire news, there is a boat-load of Irish news to cover this time around.
There is other college football news to discuss as well, including Eddie and I kicking off the HLS #HAILGAMBLOR bowl pick ’em with our picks for the first week of bowl games. Be sure to get in on the fun and get a chance to win an Amazon gift card should you secure the victory.
You’ll also get to hear how I nearly killed my brother-in-law and dad in trying to clear out a rather large tree that fell in my back yard. There is truly something for everyone in this episode.
The Roundup
Houston has their new coach. And he’ll be fired if he dares not continue the new standard that his predecessor set.
Just what the hell is going on at Minnesota? Ten players have been suspended in relation to an alleged sexual assault that happened in September and now the team is threatening to boycott their bowl game in response. There is no way this has a happy ending.
WakeyLeaks, an actual thing. No seriously, someone leaked Wake Forest’s gameplans to opposing teams. This happened. There is also a hilarious logo for it:

Zaire is close to a decision. As of now, Wisconsin appears to be the favorite.
Chubb is heading back to Georgia. Bees destroying the hedges rubbed him the wrong way.
Someone must’ve pissed in Harbaugh’s milk. I present these tweets without further comment:
Jim Harbaugh told Michigan players yesterday that rumors about the NFL are "lies made up by our enemies."

Harbaugh says rumors come from coaches trying to affect recruiting. "You know the top three I'm talking about. We know them as jive turkeys"

Harbaugh needs to name names ???

The Echoes banquet started with jokes and ended with the naming of Notre Dame’s captains for 2017. One of them, however, will be playing on Sundays.
Notre Dame had a slew of coaching changes. Sanford was hired away by Western Kentucky. Mike Elko was named the new defensive coordinator. Scott Booker was fired. Slow week.
And there’s a few other roster changes for the Irish. Devin Butler is off to Syracuse. Torii Hunter Jr. will start his journey to The Show. And rumors of a potential Folston transfer are beginning to swell. Again, slow week.
