Welp, sure glad I requested that no more craziness happen in the offseason in last week’s episode. That went well. One of these days I will learn to stay quiet and shut my mouth, but that also seems rather counterproductive for someone that has a podcast.
Just blame #BlameTex. #DammitTex.
Anyways, the Roundup segment, which I was hoping to shorten going forward ends up running a bit long due to six Notre Dame arrests. Thankfully, we still have some levity in the pod as NDEddieMac returns to make college football picks with me as there is an actual college football game tonight Down Under. Picking just one game isn’t enough, so we take a look at some college football futures and make picks that you can take to the bank*.

The Roundup
Charlie Strong knows who his starting QB will be. But he’s not telling, even if though he totally said both of them will play.
Charlie Weis, sympathetic victim. Or at least that’s what he’d like you to believe in regards to Charlie Jr. and his Notre Dame application. Just a shame he opened his mouth well before that to burn bridges and piss on the ashes.
So much for the quiet offseason. I’m sure when Brian Kelly woke up on Saturday, he didn’t think he would have to make a statement that six of his players got arrested and Max Redfield is now gone. The case of Devin Butler is easily the weirdest thing in this whole weekend of stupid. The affidavit filed completely conflicts with eyewitness accounts and this situation is further murky because of the history of one of the arresting officers. 72 extra hours requested to step into this quagmire? I don’t know which way is up. I’m hopeful that Devin ends up being innocent, but if he did even part of what he’s charged with, he gone.
When you see a tweet like this, you find the story. And what a story it was. Protip for you young single gents out there: trying to drunkenly jump between buildings is not the best idea in the world. This sign in the aftermath of one of the affected businesses, however, was.
