Welcome back loyal sons and daughters to HLS Videos with ya happy, hopeful, and proud as hell boi SupermanTDJesus. I know, I know: “BUT BRUH, THEM PLAYOFF HOPES!” I’m not gonna lie, it sucks that the 2015 Notre Dame Football team will not be a part of the four-team playoff to decide the national title, but seriously who predicted that they would be THIS close MISSING 9+ STARTERS AND ONLY LOSING TWO GAMES BY A COMBINED 4 POINTS?!
I am happy. I’m really happy to have been along for the emotional rollercoaster ride that was the 2015 Fightin’ Irish football squad. The team went 10-2, and FAR exceeded national expectations, coming within four points of the probable #1 spot and possibly crashing the playoff race when literally NO ONE predicted they would even be CLOSE to that. If you’re feeling down and dejected, don’t. I have seen enough from this squad to know that this coming season, in 2016, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish are going to be beyond “for real” and you should RELISH in the idea that a 10-win team somehow inexplicably “fell short of what we were expecting,” a notion with which I VEHEMENTLY disagree.
Team 127 was nothing short of awesome to watch, and the show definitely isn’t over yet. The Irish can ride the same momentum of winning their bowl game into the next season (sorry Texas, you are officially BONED again) as they did from ’14 to ’15, only with a legitimately experienced QB, a Running Back crew that will make defenses tremble and urinate uncontrollably, and yet another loaded Wide Receiving core. The defense needs work for sure, but look how far it got this team this year. It can really only get better in my opinion.
This was by far the best game of the year, and I think you would be doing yourself a complete disservice by not watching the highlights. Get. You. Some!
