Ladies and gents, what can we say at this stage of the season about this 2015 ND squad that hasn’t been proven and confirmed over and over again by now? This team does not quit! The chips were down, Temple’s defense (and by Temple, I mean Matakevich the One Man Wrecking Crew) was playing absolutely LIGHTS OUT in what was hailed as the biggest game in their history, and Notre Dame couldn’t get out of their own way. Despite all the cliche adversity Notre Dame faced, they walked away with a hard-fought win that was chock-full of heart and grit. Insert additional cliches here.
Notre Dame improves to 7-1 on the season and 16-0 all time on Halloween while handing Temple their first loss of the season. If we learned anything from this game, its that Temple is good this year. Here’s hoping they win out and play Navy in the AAC Championship game in a matchup that would do wonders for Notre Dame’s strength of schedule.
