Welcome back to HLS Videos with your oddly calm and collected boi SupermanTDJesus! Yep, even though The Fighting Irish lost, I don’t feel anywhere NEAR as terrible as I did last year against FSU. I was at that game (it was pretty much the worst) and I wouldn’t wish being in that place on anyone but FSU fans, because it is hot garbage up in Tallahassee. ANYWHO, I feel pretty good because Notre Dame had opportunities to put themselves in position to win or at least have a chance to win and simply couldn’t. This wasn’t due to team ineptitude or terrible execution, it was due to dumb mistakes (drops and bad turnovers.)
I know, I know, “The turnovers are caused by guys not executing,” and “The 2-pt conversion play call was PURE ineptitude,” are just some of the thoughts that may be coming to your mind. Frankly, the Irish lost by 2 on the road in Death Valley, and i’m OK with it. I’m not looking into what this all means, nor am I worried about this team crumbling a la 2014. I think Notre Dame Football can bounce back, and the 2015 team can still make a serious run at the rest of this schedule and I’m content to believe that.
I won’t lie, the emotional roller coaster last night was a bad one for me. I didn’t have it in me to crack wise or tweet anything clever during the game, and the drinking was perhaps “excessive” or whatever, but in the end I’ve come to terms with it, and you should too. Moving on people!
I’m not shying away from the Highlight (Lowlight?) Videos this season regardless of wether the Irish win or lose, so at the very least let’s accept this defeat and move on together. This week, I put together the highlights with a phrase I was yelling over and over during the game in mind:
“SON OF A B*ITCH!”
Crank that volume, and let them feels flow free!
