As always, you can join in here for free. You will notice that the standings have various segments. This has been done to encourage folks to join in case they miss/faceplant a week and still have a shot at a prize. The segments are defined as follows (and the pool site has this info as well):

• Segment 1: First “half” of season, through week 7
• Segment 2: Second “half” of season, weeks 8-15
• Segment 3: Regular Season
• Segment 4: Bowl Season
• Segment 5: EVERYTHING

The prize for Segments 1 and 2 will be a $15 Amazon Gift Card. Regular season and the bowl will be a $25 gift card. The whole enchilada will be a $50 Amazon Gift card (subject to change only if I find something worth it).

Picking spreads can be a funny thing folks. If you go on a hot streak, you can easily catch up from lost weeks. So get on it and join up because Eddie and I are winning the damn thing and we could’ve sworn y’all thought you could do better and we’re just sitting here waiting for it.

We live in a sad world where Irish Elvis who probably made his selections while roasting a chicken for Mrs. Irish Elvis and changing the diaper of Irish Lisa Marie while blindly pressing buttons was the only one who managed to pull out a 3 point week. Hopefully next week the only thing needing a diaper change will be Boston College’s offense.

Overall Standings:

Not much has changed up top. Time’s running out for anyone to make a run at @BrendanMcP. Shoutout to Davie Dave who believes Tex’s pseudo-retirement is to blame for his demise.

I protest the revenge taken on me for name-dropping my drunk game watching/tailgating with PhillyKelly. All that matters is I succeeded in getting just lit up enough to let the shit talking fly in the stands and make the Temple bandwagoners around me (and possibly my girlfriend) a little uncomfortable…

But alas, all my friends are in Pittsburgh at the game and I will be getting my drink on this week in sweatpants on the couch (what is with this early kickoff?!) Anyway, given how often Pitt has given us a close game (or a loss) in recent years, I just want to believe that the law of large numbers will take effect and we’ll finally walk away from this game with a solid victory. This purely emotional prediction failed me last week, so I’m going to double down–I just want to believe I can watch a game without a bottle of Tums!
