]]> Last week’s game against University of Texas left me with mixed emotions. While the team did great on offense, the defense was IMG_8362lacking a little bit of something. I was trying to figure out exactly what they were missing and I realized that they just didn’t have the luck of the Irish on their side. So this week, we pulling out the big guns for the first home game against University of Nevada Reno with the Leprechaun!

The last time the Fighting Irish played the Wolf Pack was in 2009 and I expect the same outcome in today’s game… Total Domination! ND 35 UNR 14.

]]> IMG_3638Artists, no matter how talented, often hit a bump in the road that takes them a bit off course.  They suffer from writers’ block, lack of enthusiasm and/or lack of creativity.  During periods like this, musicians often rely on “Greatest Hits” albums.  Well, this year #CostumeGameDay will be a Greatest Hits of my last few season.  Not of any of the previous reasons, but I have hit a bump.  A baby bump!  That’s right, I’m currently 36 weeks pregnant, but that’s not stopping me from supporting the best team in the nation!

As a result, #CostumeGameDay will be posted (Hopefully) weekly, but I’m slacking off on the early week posts because I never know when #BabyCadence will arrive.  I have hundreds of costume pictures available and they will be pretty much posted randomly depending on how games are going.  One moment could be the candy top, the next could be Wonder Woman or the infamous preseason underboob.  You never know what you will get.  Keep your eyes peeled and your spirits high.  Each win, I will post some video commentary regarding my thoughts on the Irish’s performance.

Speaking of wins, I expect nothing less against Texas.  I know I’m not the only one tingling at the thought of this menage a trois of quarterbacks, #HowYouDoin?  After all, I did tweet to Zaire last year that if he threw 6 touchdowns I would name my kid after him.  He was one short.  Everyone tells me I should be worried about the defense.  I know it looks a lot different than last year, but Texas only scored 3-points last year.  I say ND wins a close one, 31-28.

Originally committed to Washington State, Ian quickly changed his mind after his visit to South Bend all in thanks to Mike Sanford. Coach Sanford was instrumental in recruiting Ian starting when he was coaching Boise State. That relationship that Ian built with Coach Sanford helped cement his decision to attend Notre Dame.

Ian is one of the best quarterbacks in Northern California and will become one of the first regional quarterbacks to attend Notre Dame. He will be providing depth to the Red Army which is much needed after what injuries did during the 2015 season.

Welcome to Notre Dame, Ian!

With being one of the early commitments for the team (April 19, 2015) and having 14 offers including Florida State and Ohio State, the Fighting Irish has gained a strong individual for the Offensive Line.

Liam stands at Six-Foot-Five and calls home Cleveland, OH but only for a few more months. Despite having two knee injuries (same injury but on both knees), Liam will provide depth his freshman year to the Offensive Line.

Welcome, Liam to the Fighting Irish Family!

]]> Welcome Parker Boudreaux to the Fighting Irish! This has been a long time waiting with Parker committing to Notre Dame back in July of 2015. Parker is a Four-Star recruit hailing from Orlando, FL and had 70 offers including Alabama, Auburn and Clemson to name a few. At Six-Foot-Four, Parker will have an impact on the Offensive Line for University of Notre Dame providing to the depth charts.

With the looks and strength of Brock Lesner from WWE, Parker packs a lot of enthusiasm and toughness. This is obvious in his Bleacher Report announcement. Not long after that, he had a rap song made about him by Ghetty (a Chicago-based rapper). Parker liked the song so much that he changed his nickname to “P-Money”.

Once again, welcome to the Fighting Irish Family, Parker!

However, realizing that dream meant that he had to put in a lot of hard work. That hard work grabbed Notre Dame’s attention and landed Tommy an offer. Welcome to the Fighting Irish!

Tommy was one of the first prospects to join Notre Dame’s recruiting class and at Six-Foot-Five, he will be a great addition to the team as he has already proved with helping with the recruiting of a few key players on the team. Tommy will provide depth to the Offensive Line and help Brian Kelly and team reload the Offensive Line.

Welcome, Tommy!

Despite the challenges that Team 127 faced during the entire season, they did not give up and they continually fought hard. So on that note, thank you Team 127 for an amazing and exciting season!

Between counting all the entries from the #CostumeGame Recap Tweets and from the game, I had a very busy afternoon…but like the Fiesta Bowl Game…there can only be one winner. I would like to congratulate @Irishfootball11 on winning the 2016 #CostumeGameDay Calendar!

From what I understand Buckeye leaves resemble Marijuana…which explains why most of the players on the team have some sort of violation. Ironically, those violations do not EVER get anyone suspended from the team.

I predict that the Fighting Irish will beat the Buckeyes. 28 – 27.
