The difference is that Holtz had shown the ability to win at the highest level, which made an also-ran bowl enjoyable… while this just represents another failure to become a great program.

I follow the team for the whole year but only get to see them play (12 or) 13 times a year. After the bowl game it will be another 8 months without seeing them play. Enjoy every game.

The blowout in Miami game and the fold against Stanford is how this season will be remembered. Winning a minor bowl means nothing for next season as those playing in the bowl might not be there next season.

I was also very disappointed by the camping bowl prospect but Citrus bowl right before the Rose bowl ?????
