Yes quite familiar. I think the question is you want to keep this momentum rolling for as long as you can. So what is better for recruiting. Is it better to go to a playoff and get handled? I didn't say that would happen. Georgia (Tight Game), Beat LSU in a Bowl a while back, Alabama crushed us. So I want whatever is better so that Notre Dame is a perennial power again. Not gaps where you go 12-1, 9-4, 8-5, 10-3, 4-8. So if that is a playoff appearance great. If you keep momentum and recruiting up by narrowly missing and going 11-2 capped off by a big win I'm in for that also.

Are you familiar with faith, Jimmy? Do you know what the cause is? And you call yourself loyal.

Yes....calling a person a dummy is always a sound way to discuss your point.

I think I agree with 10-2.

As badly as I want the Irish to make the playoff and give us fans false hope, I agree that the best thing for the longevity of the program is to lost one of our final 6 games in a close, heartbreaking fashion, and take that heartache out on a solid team like a 2 loss Oklahoma in a New Year's 6 bowl game. I think that momentum, coupled with the motivation of "what-if" when keeping that close loss in mind, we might be in for a heckuva 2018 campaign. We have a boatload of starters returning next year and a great recruiting haul. As good and exciting as this year's team is, next year's will be even better and I think more primed for a big run.
