Haha, no. All I had heard specifically was that they had the shamrock logo and green facemasks. No one was commenting directly about the paint, the shape, or anything else that would clarify that it was a completely different helmet from the ground up. I thought it was going to be our normal helmets, just with different accessories. I’m glad to know the golf ball shape was a one-day thing. Thanks!

Haven’t seen many post-game reviews of the helmets yet. My wife and I both thought they looked like shiny gold golf balls. Is that dimpling effect a factor of the shamrock series design, or is that how they’ll always look with the new paint scheme to look like the dome. I don’t remember them looking like that the first few games with the new paint.

You should’ve seen the mess after the USC night game. It was complete gridlock on the northeast side of campus. I usually don’t pay attention to traffic but waiting over an hour for the shuttle to the white lot was ridiculous.
