Don’t get too worked up. The Irish Cabal met and we considered placing the Irish curse upon the Aggies. A Texas member was concerned that because the Aggies had suffered 60 years wandering in the wilderness, they had suffered a great deal and with the Texas Longhorns emerging again, the Aggies in two years would face further pain from the Horns. We consulted with our best Irish nun, Sister Attila ( known affectionately as Attila the Nun ) and she advised that we stay positive. Let them get real excited about finding the saviors, then in season 2 or 3, the Irish Nuns would pray not that the Aggies lose, but rather that all of the Aggies opponents win. Our defense crashed because of a serious mistake in trying a defense that was so complicated that pros who had 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to learn it could not achieve nirvana. Putting it on a college team that had to go to class, maintain grades etc. was a disaster.
We have the talent and we will be fine on defense next year.
