If you want a second opinion about Brandon Wimbush, listen to a recent podcast of Irish Sports Daily's Mike Frank. Mike feels as I do, that Wimbush is the most talented QB on the team, and he can't believe that a redshirt season has already been declared for him. He won't have any chance whatsoever to compete for the job. It is both unwise and unfair. Wimbush just might decide to transfer. Why should he languish on the vine for another year when he sees a high school teammate like Minkah Fiitzpatrick starting at corner for Bama and wearing a championship ring on his finger already?
In describing Kelly's brilliance as a QB whisperer, you failed to mention the 2014 version of Golson, when he went from a Heisman candidate to a flat out bust.
Kelly hired Mike Sanford to come in and " turn the room upside down." Yeah, right! Sanford is part of a 3 headed play calling monster and he is just a spear carrier to Kelly and Denbrock. Our lack of play calling imagination remained the same, especially in the red zone. If Sanford is allowed to live up to his title of Offensive Coordinator, he should have control of the play card and call the plays. No more Tulsa 2010, Nortwestern 2014, or red zone meltdowns. Also, Sanford has shown that he can truly groom QBs.
You ended your article with the words " Kelly's kids stand." Don't drink their Kool-Aid!
