I'm glad one of us is paying attention to Farley's situation! Particularly terrible given that I was talking about the safety position. You'll see the correction above attributed to you, and thank you for reading and replying.

Good post. We fans tend to blame one (QB, S) while the shortcomings of others contributed to and magnified the problem. A young injured D-Line and LBs exposed Redfield- and Shumate as well- just like an inadequate OL multiplied the pressure and magnified Golson's errors and miscues. Throw in a kicker (and maybe head coach- go for two with an 11 point lead?vs. NW) who lost focus in November and all that point to well-deserved team losses, from coach to D' to not-so-special team play.
Enough of looking back . . . onward forward ever! Go Irish.
BTW, one minor correction- Farley is back for a fifth year.
Regardless- your post was well thought out and on the mark.
