The playoff committe has an interesting take on what &quot;strength of schedule&quot; means.  It does not really mean strength of schedule; it means strength of part of your schedule.  Having 2 or 3 high quality wins along with a lot of low quality wins over bottom of the conference teams (or FBS schools that are glorified byes), apparently counts more than having 1 or 2 high quality wins and the rest of the schedule full of draining, week after week mid-quality wins.  Having a quality schedule over all apparently is not important. 
But, as you say, so be it.  Go Irish!  Beat Devils!]]></description>
